It has the hdmi cord in 1 the white ax cord to the T and to the wall the tv cord in the wall and the box cord in the wall

I don't think it's the box I think it's the tv somehow the sound just stop working after I cut it off and then cut it on I'm watching tv now with no sound

Have you tried unplugging the cable box itself also? ...for an extended period of time?

And then reconnect but swap which end goes where.

Thank you for allowing me time to review the case and compose my reply.

A final test, connect the Samsung SMT-H3260 to the Sanyo FW32D25T using yellow + red & white RCA-to-RCA cables.

This would serve as both a temporary fix and more importantly as a test as it would tell us if the cable box or the TV has an issue.

Please post back results / observations of the above once tried.

Sorry Anya but the RCA-to-RCA cables would be needed even if just to test.

Still, have you tried pressing on the RESET button of the remote?

And also the AUDIO button to cycle through the different audio modes?

If yes to the RESET and AUDIO buttons, then we're back to needing the RCA-to-RCA cable.
