Is the Sanyo MC42FN00 directly connected to an antenna or cable feed? ...or is there a cable box or satellite receiver used with it?
And the model number of the cable box too please?
Additionally, describe how the cable box is connected to the TV using what kind of cable(s).
Have you tried unplugging the cable box itself also? ...for an extended period of time?
Can you also try unplugging the HDMI cable from the cable box and the TV?
And then reconnect but swap which end goes where.
Appreciate the images; a Samsung SMT-H3260.
Can we try again the TV model. It appears that Sanyo Mc42fn00 is the remote control.
Can you please carefully remove the HDMI cable from the TV's HDMI1 input port and transfer it to HDMI 3
And is there sound now using HDMI 3?
Thank you for allowing me time to review the case and compose my reply.
A final test, connect the Samsung SMT-H3260 to the Sanyo FW32D25T using yellow + red & white RCA-to-RCA cables.
This would serve as both a temporary fix and more importantly as a test as it would tell us if the cable box or the TV has an issue.
Please post back results / observations of the above once tried.
Do you have RCA-to-RCA cables similar to those shown HERE.
Sorry Anya but the RCA-to-RCA cables would be needed even if just to test.
Still, have you tried pressing on the RESET button of the remote?
And also the AUDIO button to cycle through the different audio modes?
If yes to the RESET and AUDIO buttons, then we're back to needing the RCA-to-RCA cable.
Please post back how you would want to approach this and/or should additional information be needed.
