Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,

Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...

Initially, the "...Cable...btns on their remote..." need not be used.

Still, is the original Vizio remote available / usable please ?

Expert:  Louie replied 3 months ago.

Please try using the original Vizio remote:

  • press the MENU button;
  • use the arrow buttons to highlight Picture;
  • press OK;
  • in the PICTURE sub-menu, use again the arrow buttons to highlight Picture Mode,
  • use the ◄/► to change the picture mode to your preference;
  • try Vivid mode;
  • if satisfied, press EXIT button.
