Have TV Questions? Ask a TV Technician
Hi, I'm Nathan.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.
Are you able to get a picture on the tv from any other source/input (the ps3, dvd, cable, etc)?
Which model roku do you have?
Can you please specifically test another input/device, so that we can confirm the tv itself is functional, before we proceed further?
Is it working on the ps3 and dtv?
Thank you for checking,
please look on the back of the roku box, by the power cord, and you should see a small reset button (hole), press and hold in that hole with a paperclip or pin for 15 seconds (with power connected) and let me know if that helps.
Last resort to try is unplugging power for 15 minutes,
press and hold that reset button, and keep holding it while replugging, then another 15 seconds after.
If still no change, then the roku is indeed defective (fairly common, as they age) and would need to be replaced, they are not feasible to repair.
You can buy a new roku, roku4k, fire tv for less than it would cost to fix this one, and you'll be getting updated features, faster processor, and a fresh warranty in the process as well.
Best regards, ***** ***** for the news,
