My Samsung tv is stuck on channel 7. All other functions

my Samsung tv is stuck on channel 7. All other functions work on the remote except the channels.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your tv? And about how old is it?
Customer: Its about one year old--how do I check the make and model?
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: No the menu showing all channels does not come up. I'm not sure what you mean all sources and inputs. Its on HDML1
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing that I know of--I just returned home this week from vacation and cannot change the channel from channel 7.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?

Not sure why you cannot reply, so I will go with the information given so far.

Since you are on HDMI, this will be an issue with your tv channel provider's box/dvr. Please perform this procedure to reset your provider's box/dvr:

- leave the tv On.

- locate the POWER cord for your provider's box/dvr and unplug it from the wall outlet.

- count to 5 then plug that power cord into the wall.

- observe the tv screen as the provider box/dvr boots up.

- eventually normal operation will return.
