I have a Panasonic plasma tv about 8 years old. I am getting a red haze on the whole screen. What do you think it it?

Hello, Sorry you're having problems.

Generally a reddish haze indicates that either the power supply voltages are drifting on the power board in the TV, or that the plasma display panel itself is starting to fail.

However to get a more accurate answer, can you please tell me:

1) What is connected to the TV (cable/SAT box, DVD, etc.)?

2) Does the red haze occur with all sources?

3) If you pull up the TV's MENU (using the Panasonic remote) for the haze appear over the MENU image as well?
