Does this happen on all sources/inputs?Initially, please look at the back of the tv and check carefully to see where the connections from your primary device are plugged in. For example you may have a cable box plugged into hdmi1, dvd on hdmi2 or component 1, etc.
Then, take the proscan tv remote and press the INPUT (source/video) button, repeatedly, until you get back to the corresponding mode, such as hdmi1 in this example. If that doesn't help, let me know.

Are you able to see the proscan menu screens at all?What devices do you have connected and how (ie: cable box on hdmi1, dvd on component video, etc)?
