Welcome. I am Mike, an experienced field technician. We are now connected together on this convenient website where I am able to help you. To get started, I need to know you can see this message and are able to reply to me here...

-What is the model number of the tv?

-How long have you had the tv?

-Try pressing MENU on the tv itself or the original tv remote (not cable/sat remote). Does anything show on the screen?

thanks.

Can you see the tv MENU using the buttons on the tv itself? or the Philips tv remote?

Great, so try this:

- leave the tv On.

- locate the POWER cord for your cable/sat box and unplug it from the wall outlet.

- wait 20 seconds and plug that power cord back in, press power on box if needed.

- watch tv screen as the box boots up.

Let me know how that goes.

Who is your tv channel provider? comcast or directv or time warner or?

Expert:  Mike G. replied 10 months ago.

hello? did you see my last message?

Expert:  Mike G. replied 10 months ago.

Since you can see the tv menu, this might not be a tv repair issue. Your next step is going to be re-seating each and every audio/video cable on the back of the tv AND the back of the cable/sat box.

If that doesn't help, reply and tell me more about the provider, box, and connections.
