Hi there and welcome

You need to ensure you remove HDCP when trying to record else it will not work as the devices will detect that its recording a protected system.

You will need a device that does this and you see this in the specifications such as

HDCP1.0/1.1/1.2

You can read more on this here

So as long as your splitter has the HDCP1.0/1.1/1.2 you will be ok.

One such device you can see here

If you would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service by clicking one of the stars at the top of the screen then submit, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
