Hi , I`m Jack
Perhaps I can help you with this problem , a few questions coming up and please note that it may take a few minutes between replies;

Is it the only function that does not respond , can you open the TV's own menu for example ?

Have you tried the buttons directly on the tv ?
Also ,Can you please give me the tv`s model number written on the back cover ?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
it is the only one not working.
Yes I can open the menu.
All buttons on tv work except the volume.
I can't see the model number.

So now you have the TV's sound going full blast ??

Did you clean the TV's frame and screen recently or prior to this ?

Expert:  Jack replied 4 months ago.

Is the volume OSD ((on screen display) bar/level stuck on the screen or does it disappear like normal after you used the volume ?

Expert:  Jack replied 4 months ago.

Here is something for you to try ;
Unplug the TV's power cord and hold the power button directly on the tv ,keep holding it for 20 secs or so then let the tv sit unplugged for a couple of minutes before you try it again.
Just to confirm that this problem can be cleared or not with a reset.
If that does not do it then we are looking at internal problems with the tv.

let me know how that goes.

Didn't work
Expert:  Jack replied 4 months ago.

O.k then I did not expect much out of this but it had to be tried.

I have a few ideas on this but first I`d lie to know if you had in mind to look into repairing this yourself ?

Or just get an idea of what may be involved ?

Expert:  Jack replied 4 months ago.

If you`re going to work on this yourself I will need the TV's model number though and if not then just give me its size and how old it is and I`ll give you a pretty close estimate of the cost of repairs
