Hello, The plug is not likely bad, no.

Can you tell me if there are ANY signs of life on the TV at all (power light lit or blinking, etc.)?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No lights
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

Okay so no signs of the power light, any click at all when power cord is plugged into the outlet?

Do you have a multi-meter and do you know how to use it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have 4.5 at the 5v standby and nothing at the two 15v
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When testing the power input, the readings are constantly jumping around....
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.

So that would point towards your Mainboard. If you have the standby voltages, I'm not sure why you'd ask about the power cord. If there's any voltage at all the power cord is good.

Where did you test power Input?

Did you change your meter over to AC?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I was thinking that the inverter or power supply box might not be putting enough voltage out

I have the 4.5v at the 5v standby but nothing at the two 15v
