Hi , I`m Jack
Perhaps I can help you with this problem , let me know when you`re ready ?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
im ready
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

O.k then

This would be a 4 digit pin and if you never entered one the default pin is 0000

Give it a try

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Did not work
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Is it asking for a 4 digit pin ?

Is it your tv or the network setup asking for that ?

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

When does the tv ask for a pin ??

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
The tv will not pickup digital channels. There's a channel lock on cantwturn off without pin
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
It's not on any network need adapter for that
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

O.k then it is the parental lock and if that 0000 pin did not do it then someone did set a pin .

Here is how to return that pin to the default 0000

With the tv off , press the remote control buttons in the following sequence .

This resets the PIN to “0-0-0-0” : MUTE → 8 →2 → 4 → POWER (on)

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Sorry , this got mixed , here it is ,

Press MUTE → 8 →2 → 4 → POWER (on)

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Now when it ask for a pin ,enter 0000

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Try this as well ;

Open the menu and go to → Broadcasting → Program Rating Lock → press enter and turn off the parental lock

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Use that 0000 when you go in the menu to turn it off , it will ask it

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I'm trying again give me min
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

No problem , take your time but perhaps start by resetting the pin to 0000

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I tried the reset twice didn't work
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Then your tv is defective .

The procedure I gave you are direct from Samsung and for this model , I didn`t just pickup anything at random .

Your TV's main board , namely its software is corrupted

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

There is a firmware upgrade available for this tv that perhaps would clear that by re-installing its operating system like a PC if you will

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
It's not a smart tv
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Doesn`t have to be , you can use a USB key

Look on this page where it says download ;

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/PN43F4500AFXZA

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

click on the download .zip and your firmware + installation guide is in that zip file

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Click the link below and once it is opened go to page 122 , it tells you how to upgrade the firmware ;

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201302/20130215183608057/[WEB]NVATSCF_ENG-US_1005-0215.pdf

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

By the way , you can also look on page 85 of that manual and you will see what I was saying about resetting the pin to 0000

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Ok thanks keep trying.
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

That's pretty much it , if none of that does it then its the main board .

If you`re up to that let me know and I will find it for you but otherwise an external tuner may be much cheaper and much easier to install

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Here`s a tuner that will connect to your antenna and also records and comes with its own remote

No PIN !!!

That's it and If you don`t have any more questions for now then please do take the time to rate my answer by clicking on the star icons at the top, then click on Submit , this is how I make a living and that rating gets me paid for my time.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Ok got password ***** still wont get digital channels ill keep trying
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Now you`re talking about something else , tuning in the channels and the passwords are 2 completely different things

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I know you got password ***** its good
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
no more money off card right
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Not privy to the money part myself but just don`t accept any offer and stay on this post if you have questions and no more money , that's correct

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Ok thanks
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

Look in the manual I gave you from page 2 and on for the tuning procedure and auto program

Thank you

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.
