I have a Panasonic TC-p65vt50-2
when ever I try to use the internet function either through the viera tools section or the internet button on the remote I get an error code 006
Do I throw out this TV or is there a fix that is permanent This has been an ongoing problem over the last 6-12 months and I am tired of it so if there is no easy fix I will upgrade to another companies newer TV and get rid of this piece of junk

no there is no ip address listed it is blank

How do you have your TV connected to your network router? Is there a cable running from the TV to the Comcast modem?

no it is trying to connect wirelessly i do not have a cable that long the tv is over 30 feet away from the modem i do have a booster next to the tv that is not connected presently but can be connected with a wire

Okay, let's try setting the TV network manually. Change the IP mode to manual then for the IP address use 10.0.0.50, subnet mask use 255.255.255.0 and for the default gateway use 10.0.0.1 then let me know when you finished.

given the length of time this is taking i think it may be more efficient if i go but a longer length of ethernet cable and connect the tv directly to the modem will this workAgain what should happen ie the setting should remain and what does happen ie they disappear is just another frustration for this expensive piece of aggravation

I understand the frustration. Having it connected directly would make it a lot easier. The automatic settings should then be sufficient.

Also, once you enter the IP information should you need to do that again, once you enter the addresses then press menu again on the remote and that should save the settings. I would recommend you wire it directly if that is possible. That will also give you a faster link than what the wireless link can give you.

tried your suggestion about entering the settings and hitting menu again and guess what all the setting disappeared I will wire this directly and if that does not work then i will throw it out and find a replacementGiven the fact that you spent time BUT i got no resolution I want a refund and I do not want any form of ongoing membership
