Customer Question

I have an LG smart TV model number 42LB5820 and after accepting an auto-update on the TV I can longer connect to Netflix although I can still access Netflix on other devices. There is a confirmed wi-fi connection on the smart TV.

Hi there,

Can you still see the Netflix app on the TV?

Are you getting an error message when you try to connect?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Error code is NW-4-7. Have rebooted modem, connected modem via ethernet cable and restored TV to factory settings. All other internet apps on the TV work perfectly. Cannot get into the Netflix app, just get the error message.
Expert:  Pete replied 11 months ago.

This can happen if the wifi signal to the TV is slow or suffering interference.

Try using a wired connection to the TV temporarily and confirm if the Netflix app then works ok?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Tried a wired connection already. Made no difference.

Also did a factory reset of TV, reset the modem - no luck.
Expert:  Pete replied 11 months ago.

Ok, the TV has got some corrupted or conflicting information after the update and is unable to connect to your home network.

The factory reset on the TV should have sorted this.

Since it did not, try connecting the TV to a different network, let me know if it works there, then try connecting to your own network again.

Pete.

Already tried using my neighbours network - same problem.

Any answer on how to fix this?
Expert:  Pete replied 11 months ago.

If it won't work on a wired connection either, then this is a very strange problem.

I will open this question up to the other experts now.

Hello my name is***** do not rate until we are finished. I look forward to assisting and am very sorry to hear that you are having this problem. Can you try a different network app other than Netflix and let me know if the same thing happens? How long has this been happening?
