The color on my Samsung flat screen TV went bad yesterday. I believe the description of the problem might be designated 'white balance' if that term is applicable to a flat screen.

Color is bad on tv
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

What is connected to this tv ?
Cable box,satellite,dvd,games etc. ?

Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

What type of cables /connection do you have between the cable box and tv ?
Is it HDMI or color coded component cables ?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Cable box and Sony bluray
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

O.k then i`m pretty sure the bluray uses HDMI cable , does it show the same problem ?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

O.k then i need you to explain that color problem , for example is there a missing color , no color , fuzzy picture etc. ?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
There is a color halo usually faces have 1/2 washed with color etc.
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

O.k then this is not a wiring problem

If you open the tv`s own menu , does it appear normal or is it also affected ?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.

O.k then you got a defective t-con board and what you described is most often called "solarized" picture .

That board may cost around 40 to $70 depending on which version is in your tv

How do you want to proceed from here ?
Look into this yourself or the repair shop ?

Let me know and i will help you along if you wish to look into repairing this yourself ,otherwise i will give you the details and costs you could expect.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Thanks.
I would like to order the board.
Expert:  Jack replied 11 months ago.

If you were to look into this yourself then the first thing would be to match your t-con with one of those at the link below;

If not in stock there then with the part number it could be found , just let me know .
