Have TV Questions? Ask a TV Technician
Hello , my name is JackPerhaps I can help you with this problem but first i would have a few questions like the headset model number so could you please send me a reply when you see this ?
What is connected to this tv ?Cable box,satellite,dvd,games etc. ?
Do you see another number on this headset like MDR-RF985RK
Yes that's the transmitter , the headset is MDR......
O.k and this headset came with a cable that has the mini headphones (3.5 mm ) plug on one side and rca plugs on the other ?
Click the link below and you will see the cable I mean ;
I`d like you to use that cable exactly as in this picture and connect it directly into the cable box audio outs for a test or permanent if that does it for you
By the way , if that link opens a login window popup then just close it with the upper corner XThe picture is behind that
o.k then turn that cable around and try it again at the back of the tv where it says headset then the rca plugs at AUDIO IN 1 on the transmitter
Don`t forget to turn up the tv`s volume once its done
That headset out on the tv is volume dependant so you will have to presset your headset volume directly on them and then turn up the tv`s volume , in other words you have 2 volume controls to play with
What is either one ??
There is only one output and input you can use on the tv
When you plug in the cord in the TV's headset jack , does that cut the tv speakers sound ?
Do you have sound through the tv speakers ?
This is how it needs to be connected now ;
There are no eithers here but only that way
connect it that way , turn up the volume on the tv and then on the headset base try the channel button 1,2 or 3
Got anywhere with those last directions ?If everything is working then please do not forget to rate by clicking on the 5-star icon at the top, then click on Submit so i get paid for my time helping you .Also note that it will not close this post , you can come back here at any time if you have questions.
