HDMI? What is connected to that port?
OK a couple questions...
1. Have you tried the other HDMI ports?
2. Have you tried a different device, like a DVD player or game console?
No to both questions?
OK. Your cable box is connected to HDMI 1. I'd like to disconnect it from HDMI 1 and reconnect it to HDMI 2, or 3, or any other HDMI port.
OK, what's the model number on the back of the TV?
Double check. Could it be PN51F5300?
There are 2 HDMI ports on that model. Check the back and the sides.
Basically, we need to see if all the HDMI ports are affected. We also need to see if NON-HDMI ports are affected.

Like... some other device that you own. A VCR, a DVD player, a game console. Your cable box probably has a non-HDMI output that you can use.
OK, do the lines show up with the DVD player?
Doesn't matter. Just watch a movie using the DVD player and tell me if the lines still show up.
OK, last check. Use the original Samsung remote (not the cable remote) and press MENU. Tell me if the lines are behind the menu, or if they're on top of it.
But you just said they show up with the DVD player...... that's not a HDTV channel.
I'm really having trouble understanding what you're saying. When do they appear and when do they not appear???
But the menu covers the lines, right?
You keep saying they only show up when watching HDTV, but you also said they show up when watching a DVD. I'm sorry, but I can't help if I'm not getting all the information.
