Customer Question

I have a 40" toshiba approx. 2 years old. Problem free until now . Snowy screen. I checked all cables and power source outlet and everything is secure. I recently had my cable service upgraded (I also have roku) and when I tried to get back to cable service all I got was a snowy picture. I called cable vision technician and was told cable working fine also the same result after calling roku. I have 4 tv but the 40" is the only one that has snowy picture. Please help.Anita***@******.***(xxx) xxx xxxx

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

That is indeed the most likely issue - either leaking/contamination preventing the chip from being recognized, OR the chip itself is faulty.

Sorry, Anita, it looks like a few messages were cross posted here accidentally from another thread.

Do you have this snowy screen with all inputs (cable, roku, dvd, etc)?
If you bring up the toshiba on screen setup menu, does that appear normally?

I have been working with Anthony from infotech(?). He suggested I needed to replace cable box. I replaced box but still have snowy screen. I have since advised him of such but I keep getting message saying he has answered my question and problem not yet resolved.
