Try pressing the STATUS button on the remote to cycle through the different on screen display options, which will remove the time/track display.

Pushing the status button shows two dialog boxes in the top but does not remove the time in the bottom.

It seems to be TV issue, not the player.

I thought you had indicated that it was the time display, meaning the progression of the disc playback.
What is the model of your tv?
