If you assume the antenna and coax is good, there is a chance you got a Tv with a defective tuner. There are some things you can do before exchanging the tv or calling Vizio for warranty repair:
-unplug the tv power cord for 3 full minutes, re-do channel scan.
-factory initialize the tv in the HELP MENU, re-do the channel scan.
-connect the tv to the internet and check for software update, after update initialize the tv, re-do the channel scan.
