Have TV Questions? Ask a TV Technician
Hello , my name is JackPerhaps I can help you with this problem but first i would have a few questions so could you please send me a reply when you are ready to proceed ?By the way , this is NOT an answer so there is no need to rate yet.
Thanks , a few questions coming up ;
Did this problem happen all of sudden or gradually got worse over the last few days/weeks ?Like it would take longer to get a picture ?
Do you still have sound ?
O.k then the no sound could be simply that its not on the correct input if you cannot see a picture.
How about the TV's own menu , can you see it ?
O.k then from your description this would definitely look like a defective t-con board and you can buy that board at the link below for $20 if you are interested of taking a shot at the repair yourself ;
If that is not your cup of tea so to speak then to have this repaired by a shop could cost you upwards of 150 to $175
This is a 40" tv and they were not the most expensive to buy 5 years ago so I would not spend too much in it considering the fact that you can by a new 40" tv for around 250 to $300
Much welcome and please do not forget to rate so i can get compensated for my time helping you.
Note that you can reach me here at any time after rating if you have questions.
