Customer Question

We have a series model m552I-b2, which I thought was one that consumer reports rated as very good along with several other personal reviews that spoke highly of. It has a good picture when all is working well, but we continually have to reset to factory defaults when either the sound cuts out when we change channels or not, plus we get what would call video interference bars or flecks across the screen. This is getting very trouble some, I would be hard pressed to buy another vizio product. We have followed the instructions over and over for short term solving. We have another tv (Dynex) with know issues. We like not to buy another tv as we are on a fixed income and that would be a stretch. The instructions were memoed to us back on May 3, 2015 by Tyson Ray. Unit was purchased in Oct. 30th 2015.

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Does this issue happen with all inputs/sources (cable/satellite, dvd, game, apps, etc)?

No just the tv/ cable box when watching normal channeled tv.

This type of issue coudl be a tv problem, but just as easily may be a problem with the cable box, which have very high failure rates.

If you reboot the cable box, by unplugging power to it for 60+ seconds, does that resolve the issue (even temporarily)?
