OK, those thee lights are labeled as Lamp - Status - Timer/Power.
I need to know which one turns to red and is it solid red or blinking?
Flashing red or solid red?
OK, solid red status light indicates either DVI cable is unplugged/ misaligned that runs between chassis and light engine.
OR ballast board connector is unplugged. Please unplug TV power cord, recheck all the connectors/ cable that were removed during repair to make sure all are plugged securely and tight. Replug TV power cord and press power button to see if TV works or problem persist.
Please reply back with the result.
OK, this error code indicate that lamp cover sensor switch is open as it get closed when place lamp cover on TV after lamp installation. If lower rear cover is off then lamp cover would also be off so look for blue lever switch near lamp housing area, push it manually which will close it so TV will think that lamp cover is on its place then turn On the TV.
OR put rear cover back on TV, tight the screws to engage the lamp cover sensor switch.
So we are back to square one, solid red status light, is this correct?
If so, lets read the error code in TV in different way, Press the front panel “INPUT” and “MENU” buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds will activate the Error Code Mode. The “TIMER LED” flashes denoting a two digit Error Code.
Example: If the Error Code is “23”, the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash three times. This pattern will repeat five times.
Do you get any error code?
No problem, take your time, is the green light still flashing?
OK, please apply the error code read out procedure to get error code.
Yes, sequence is, turn On TV, green light will start flashing that means TV is booting up, in case of any trouble the green light will stop and any other light will lit/blink that means TV is turned Off and in protection mode. Now we can get last problem occurred error code from TV.
Thanks for the info.
1-8 error code indicates that light engine isn't getting 12V supply from power board and most likely PE or PE2 connector would be loose/ unplugged or misaligned. Can you please check power supply board of TV to see if such connector is plugged securely?
Sorry, who replaced the DLP chip and lamp in TV?
OK, AC power cord directly plugs in power supply board so follow the AC cord and check the connectors on that board, push them to make sure they are tight, then follow the PE2 or PE connector wires that will take you to other end plugged on light engine and push it as well, now turn On the TV and check if it helps?
