Can you tell me which board you are referring to as the motherboard?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
TNPH0831AV DIG-MAIN
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok, that is the A board. Not usually associated with 10 blink errors.

Do this for me please: unplug the TV and wait about a minute. Then look for the VSUS connections off the power supply board. These are P2 and P11. Disconnect them.

Plug in the TV and turn it on. How many blinks do you get?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
7 BLINKS
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok, unplug, wait one minute.

Put P2 back ONLY. Leave P11 disconnected.

If this model has a power wire that runs from the SS to SC board, disconnect one end.

Plug back in and turn on. How many blinks?

Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

This one doesn't have that SS/SC wire - just checked.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
10 BLINKS AGAIN
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

That would be the SS board. That's the one on the right.

Try this though. Unplug as usual. Pull P11, reconnect P2.

Turn on, how many blinks.

10 BLINKS
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it does have a wire going from the SS to the SC
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Sorry for the delay. Laptop probs. All good now.

You are right SC3 to SS3. Yank that from either end and repeat the previous two tests i.e. P2 in, P11 out and then P2 out, P11 in.

Sorry about that.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Still 10 blinks. When you turn it on it clicks and then makes a crack crack noise.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok, then your SS board is bad. That should be the TXNSS1LNUU board.

When we disconnect the board causing the 10 blink code and get a different code, we have found the bad board.

With SS connected and SC disconected, we get 10 blinks.
With SC connected and SS disconnected, we get 7 blinks.

That indicates that the SS board is bad.

Do one more thing for me to be 100% sure.

Put everything back.
Remove P2 and the SC20 connection on the SC board.

Turn on the TV. How many blinks?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
10 blinks
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Replace the SS board. Try www.shopjimmy.com for good used boards.

I'll be here if you still have issues.

Good luck.

I replaced the ss board and it still doesn't work. Still getting the 10 blink code
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

I am sorry to hear that. Can you repeat the isolation steps we performed last week with P2 and P11 please?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I tried doing that and it didn't work. so I ordered an SS board and a power board and a p board
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Hi there. I'm confused. You were unable to perform the previous tests?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I preformed the test and still got the 10 blink code.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

So you ordered a second SS board?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, an SC board. A power board
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok. So you have replaced the SC board, the SS board and the P board.

If you disconnect P2 and P11 do you get 7 or 10 blinks?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the new boards haven't gotten here yet
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok. When you get them, reply and we can continue.
