Customer Question

I have a Panasonic TC-P50S30 that has 7 blinking lights. i replaced the SD,SU, and SC board with supposed known working parts but no luck. I tested both SC boards with buffer boards disconnected. both powered on w/o issues, but my original board lit up as purple and black. Does this mean my buffer boards are bad or the sc is bad even though no SOS code?

Hi there, If the TV still shows 7 blinks after replacing the SD,SU, and SC boards then I would say buffers are faulty and will need replacing too.Faulty buffers are a fairly common fault on these older sets.

Is there a way to test the buffer boards other hen disconnecting one at a time to see if one or both boards are bad?
Expert:  Pete replied 1 year ago.
Only by swapping in a good board and checking if the TV comes on; however the buffer boards should always be replaced in pairs.

Are thereany places you recommend where I can source new boards. Most go to sites like shop jimmy have been sold out for a long time

The buffer boards used in your TV should be TNPA5336AB/TNPA5337AB.You can also use TNPA5336AG/TNPA5337AG (the only difference is that the 'G' boards have additional heatsinks fitted). These boards are no longer manufacturered and are very difficult to source - your best bet is another broken TV set with good buffers in it, or eBay or similar sites.
