TV continues to go to menu and scroll through options. I've already rested the TV to factory default settings. Then the volume continues to scroll and gives an unavailable error message.

Hello and sorry you're having problems. This is an issue I've seen before and am familiar with. In order to assist you, I need to ask for more info, however.
1) How long have you owned the set for and when did the problem occur?
2) Will the TV do this even when the remote control is out of the "line of sight" of the TV?
