how many blinks? look for a repeating pattern.
where did you buy the new board?
do the numbers and suffix code on the new board match the old board?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I got the board from tv parts central in California. the numbers on the board matches the original board. the tv blinks 7 times then slight pause and 7 again

(Posted by JustAnswer at customer's request) Hello. I would like to request the following Expert Service(s) from you: Live Phone Call. Let me know if you need more information, or send me the service offer(s) so we can proceed.

sorry, I am trying to use my phone to reply to you because I am not home right now. My reply did not go through.
7 blinks means you need to do complex testing with a meter. If you want to attempt it, then I can get you the document when I get home.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
what kind of meter and where would I get one?
Expert:  Mike G. replied 2 years ago.
This is not simple and if you touch the inside of the Tv while it's plugged in you risk DEADLY HIGH VOLTAGE. If you want to continue then I can give you the document then you can decide if this kind of diagnostic procedure is something you really want to attempt.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
send the document
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
wouldn't it be easier just to replace the board?
Expert:  Mike G. replied 2 years ago.
The problem is figuring out which board. 7 blinks can be a few different boards:
SU/SD (SM)
SC
SS
You can just start replacing boards in that order or you can do the actual diagnosis procedure starting on page 77:

If I replace those boards in that order will it eventually solve the problem?
Expert:  Mike G. replied 2 years ago.
No guarantee, no way to know. If you read the document that I gave you, there is a possibility 7 blinks is a defective pdp display panel. But I doubt that very much because your issue was supposed lightning damage...
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Mike: I did not receive a document from you.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
what is a pdp display panel?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I also just checked my spam folder and no document
