Hello and sorry you're having problems.
What's the make and model of the DVD player?
What's the full model number off the back of the TV?
What color cables are you using?

Thank you. Pulling up some info on these devices now...

Okay first, on this TV, the yellow from your DVD player goes into the "Green" jack labeled "Y/Video". Is this where you have it connected?
Expert:  Aric replied 1 year ago.
Next, you would need to use the Samsung remote's Source button to select "AV" or "Video" to get it to display once yellow is connected to "Y/Video" (and red and white connected to red and white).

With the Philips player ON, and the RWY cables plugged into the RWY jacks on the Philips, you should then have a picture on the TV screen. If you don't, then please double check that model number on the Philips as it doesn't show up in any search.
