I have an X-HM30V system.Nothing has been unplugged or re-plugged

Customer Question

I have an X-HM30V system.
Nothing has been unplugged or re-plugged for over a year.
When switing the system on and selecting Tuner this morning, the system switched off and a red Timer light flashes continuously.
Pressing the standby/on switch does not turn the system on.
I unplugged from the wall and turned on again pressing the Disc button on the remote.
The disc reads (as does a dvd) but there is no sound.
I reset the clock.
Pressing the Tuner button again switches the system off and I get that flashing red light again.
Can you help ?

I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question today.
The flashing Timer light indicates that the system is in Protect mode.
This can happen if the speaker wiring is shorted out or a speaker is faulty.
Try disconnecting all speakers and speaker wiring, then try turning the unit on again and let me know if it powers on ok.
If it does, then reconnect the speakers one by one until you find the problem one.
