Hello and sorry you're having problems.
Please tell me where you purchased this lamp from and for how much- was it a $35 Amazon lamp or a $110 Osram original lamp?
Also is the light blinking continuously, or in a pattern?
If a pattern please count the groups of blinks and let me know.

I purchased the lamp on line. Not amazon. Cost was !00.00 not sure who from its been a while. I assumed it would work. A continous red blink and tv power button does not work after the light started blinking.

Okay, please unplug the set, then remove and re-install that lamp ,aking sure it is secure.
Plug the TV back in and press power once.
Let me know if the fans fire up, and also if you can hear the ballast trying to spark the lamp.
