1 year old i haven't tried another device I don't know about the menu screen I haven't done that
5 to 10 times a week tv is on directv it hasn't done it once tonight I'll try the menu next time

It seems video source issue so when picture goes out netx time, please unplug TV and Directv box power cords from wall outlet for 10 minutes to reset, replug and turn them On.
Please post back how it worked to resolve the problem.
