Hello,

concern today.

something comes up and I am not able to reply back right away but this is
sometimes something I cannot avoid. I will always try to reply back to you
right away however please understand that I may be busy answering another
customer back and thus it may sometimes take time to reply back to you. As soon
as I return I will be sure to reply back to you as soon as I am able to.

Are you using a wep or wpa/wpa2 security?

Are you sure you have the correct ssid and security code?

Thanks,

Joe

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Wpa

I'm confident that I'm using the correct ones. I've connected well with other devices.

Andrew,

Is this a g or n series router?

What is the model number of the router?

Thanks,

Joe

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Netgear N150 router WPN824N. Does that answer on series?

Andrew,

Yes it does, its an n series. Please unplug the router and the tv along with resetting the tv, then plug router back in then tv back in after router gets going again please try to once again connect. If it will not then as tests please connect a cable between the tv and router at min cat5e and let me know if that works. Next make sure the tv is updated if available if not then update as needed which may resolve the problem. If none of the above resolves the issue just le me know and we can diagnose it further.

In some cases the wpa passcodes are case sensitive, please make sure of cap and lower case letters.

If
you need any further assistance you can reply back at any time for my help.

Thanks,

Joe

Bonuses
are appreciated. If you feel you need to leave a 1-2 happy face/rating with
poor/bad please instead reply back to me via the reply to expert button. The
first two rating faces are negative feedback the next three after the first two
are positive and only for those 3 do I get a pos rating. If for any reason you
are not satisfied please reply back to me for further assistance to which I
will be glad to help you. The deposit you placed when you opened the question
is only a deposit you can then click accept or one of the smile faces, but
again only if you are satisfied and only when you are ready to do so. The
rating system is only to rate me as an expert not the site or the product. If you have any problems for any reason
please reply back and let me know.

Thanks
again for using justanswer / pearl.com and have a great day!

The unplugging doesn't work. I don't think I can connect the cable: they're at opposite ends of the house (around 50 feet). Not sure about TV updates. I'll be going out shortly.

Andrew,

On your tv please try auto and if that does not work then Change Settings: Use this option to manually enter the advanced settings of your
network, such as the IP Address, the Subnet Mask, the Default Gateway, the
Preferred DNS Server, and the Alternate DNS Server.

If that still does not work then please let me know the exact error coming up when trying to connet by using test connection.

Thanks,

Joe

"Try auto" where? At a certain menu?

Andrew,

Did you go to change settings and manually enter as I stated?

Did you preform the network test as I stated?

Thanks,

Joe

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
OK, Change settings, I've DHCP switch between off and on. Where previously the IP, etc. were populated, they've become 0.0.0.0. "Test connection" gives connection method unknown.

Andrew,

Did you manually enter the info into the fields?

Thanks,

Joe

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Fading somewhat now, I don't know what info to enter.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I didn't get a reply to my last update, that I didn't know what info to enter. Anyway, the connection on the TV looks like it might not work, and we've decided to try Roku. I'm uncertain of what rating to give you; you put time and effort into this, but I didn't get it resolved, and I don't know that I should be out the full amount of money.
