does the lamp light up at all?
no it does not.

do you know how to read voltages?
no meter on hand and sketchy with reading the meter
ok this is what we really need to do anything else is guesswork
do you hear the color wheel spin up?
no -- sound at all
sounds like you have a power supply issue did you trip the blue switch to run the tv with the lamp door off the tv?
yes i held the blue switch in place and tried to turn -- same response as before
ok we need to look at power supply voltages or replace the power supply if you want to guess
how difficult is it to change the power supply
not difficult at all
is it possible that the temperature sensor is bad.
Here is the power board
it must deliver 315VVDC
under load this typically falls to under 200V and the nnolonger runs
replace the board if its bad
when i pull the board and see some bad capacitors could i just change out those that are bad or should i just change the whole board
the 2 LARGE capacitors on this board fail they show no physical signs
I will just change the board -- thanks for your help
