I plugged the HDMI cable from my DVD into the No. 1 input on my Samsung LN63251, scrolled the source to HDMI1 on the TV, no picture just a "Not Supported Mode" message. What am I doing wrong

hook up the dvd player with your blue green red and enter the setup menu

check the resolution output on HDMI and set to 720P not 1080P

The DVD player does not allow me to check resolution output.

pull the dvd and ener setup menu without a disc

The DVD in setup only allows me "TV Aspect" and "Display Mode." No other choices

Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG, Sample Freq., DRC, & Vocal, these are the choices in "Display"

You're right. All I get in Display Mode is 16:9. It will not allow me any other choices.

on the front of your unit there is a button that says RESOLUTION

hook up the hDMI and press this button until you see a picture mode that is supported

Customer:

Removed the blue/green/red and hooked only the HDMI in1 then pushed "Resolution." Tried scrolling through source and only got HDMI "Searching for Signal", then "Not Supported Mode." and "AIR" with snow. No other options.
