yes I am trying to connect it to the cable box

Ok, What kind of cable(s) run between the box and TV?

The usual choices are:

Three RCA cables - red, white and yellow

Five RCA cables - two reds, green, blue and white

HDMI cable - single cable with a computer connector that looks a bit like a USB connector

Coax - ordinary TV cable.

actually I'm sorry I misread the question the cables are the THREE RCA CABLES

Ok, so you have the cable box connected to the TV with an RCAs.

Grab the Vizio remote and press the INPUT button until you select the AV input that the box s connected to.

OK I tried pressing the input buttton to connect the tv to the cable box and it didn't worked

no they are not

I had the red and white on the side the yellow wasn't hooked in but now the cables are hooked in at the bottom (where you just asked if they were there)

Ok, great. Now go back to that INPUT button and press it one or more times on the Vizio remote until you get to AV/COMP which is the input your cable box is on.

Can you try that please?
