I'm looking to buy a new TV, but not sure which one to buy. Can you please give me a list of your top 5 favorite ones, and your thoughts on why each is good? I would love a review from a TV expert. I don’t have a budget in mind because I don’t really know what TVs cost these days or what features are available, so I would appreciate TVs from a range of prices. thanks!!
Thanks for stopping by:1. Samsung2. Samsung3. Samsung4. Samsung5. SamsungSeriously.Samsung panels are the best in the industry - as they make panels for just about every manufacturer out there. Not only is the product that good - the support is outstanding. The best I have ever had to work with. They go out of their way to satisfy customers that have a support problem. They routinely extend warranties to cover parts... cover the part if you cover the labor when out of warranty.... and will sometimes give the full purchase price for a new set should your TV not last as long as you think it should have.A-1 in my book. That said - it is very important to know what type of setting the TV will be in... and what type of shows you watch... fast action sports, movies, etc. There are 3 types of TVs out thereLCD, LED, and plasma.LCD is for brighter lit areas and has the fastest response time.Plasma is for dim rooms with little to no light - and is best for movies.LED is a mix between the two... it is an LCD response rate... with warm colors like a plasma.... but a tad more expensive than the previous 2 types.Let me know what type of room, and what type of material you will be watching the most, and I can give you a few suggestions in different price ranges. You should really head over to Samsung's website and take a look at the offerings. Are you going to be connecting to the internet with your TV?Streaming movies?Playing video games?Do you have or plan on having a surround sound system? All very important when deciding what TV to go with.Let me know if you require further.Thanks!bluextc8941121.0088607986
awesome, thanks! I want it for my living room. yes I will connect to the internet with the TV, streaming netflix movies. I don't have surround sound, and no I don't play video games but my son might.
Ok - people's living rooms are different - is there a lot of sunlight - or is it mostly flourescents when you are watching?
I have pretty good natural light in there. And i also like to watch tv at night without lights on.
Ok - a few final questions....Approximately what are the dimensions of the room, and distance you will be viewing from?Room area = ??? sq fet or ??ft x ??ft.AndDistance from TV to chair/couch/bed = ??ft.Thanks
wow you are getting very specific. I guess the room is about 15 x 15? and the TV is about 8 feet from the couch
It's very important to determine the size of the panel. You don't want too large of a TV in your room - as your head will be going back and forth watching the action - instead of your eyes. The recommended size of TV with an 8 foot viewing distance - in a 15 x 15 room is 40" to 46"Obviously - the smaller the screen (all other things equal) the smaller the price.Samsung's new line of smart TVs is amazing.
