i have a visio vo320e and a hp slimline. can i use this tv for a cpu monitor with d sub cable for video? i have tried and tv goes to rgb error not supported.

i have xp and yes i have tried the monitor cable from d-sub connection that was on my lg 21" cpu monitor. no i have not changed res but it is not communicating, no pic at all.
Please make sure to change the tv input/source to PC/VGA.., etc. (use the TV remote.)Please try changing the screen resolution per my suggestion and check. Please me let know. Thank you.
