samsung bluray wont connect to smart hub just says "installing worked ok till we pressed update, what's wrong? internet connection perfect

Make: samsung
Model: bluray -player not sure

Already Tried:
diconnecting and replugging bluray, tv, modem and router by the way samsung tv too.

It's attempting to install the update and it sounds like the download is corrupt.

 

If the blu ray immediately tries to update after you unplugged it, and you get stuck on the "installing"....and you cannot back out to access the menu to Reset it...

 

Then you have to do this procedure and start over completely ---

My recommendation is to temporariy avoid letting the unit update, shut down the wifi connection and use a LAN cable to make sure the update is on a rock solid connection.

Wifi is scary...it's hit or miss if you have a lot of neighbors on the same channel. I set my router to channel 7 because there was only 2 neighbors on it instead of the 7 on channel 9.

 

The lower the channel number...the more power you receive too.

 

Hope you're not stuck with the corrupted download.
