Panny vt50 worked fine yesterday. Now it says no signal thru all 4 hdmi inputs. Works fine with composite cable. Checked 2 sources and 2 hdmi cables and all 4 hdmi inputs. Any ideas. Did restore to factory defaults and a firmware update still doesn't work. Had tv for 3 days. Called Panasonic they were no help.
Thanks for the question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX X'm sorry to hear about your TV.Did Panasonic run you through any troubleshooting? Where was the TV purchased from?Best,Dan
We did two resets one standard factory default reset and one reset holding down one button on the television and one button on the remote television was purchased from Amazon
You have a defective TV, friend. Was this a brand new TV?
Television is brand-new it was purchased three days ago Amazon already said they would replace the television I was just trying to avoid that since it's a 65 inch very heavy. We already swapped out the last one to damage during shipment. The screen was all scratched up because the metal mounting bracket came loose in the box. This will be the third television. I'm wondering if I should consider another brand. what would cause it to just stop working all of a sudden since it work for the first three days
I'm glad they will replace it. I'm disappointed Panasonic wouldn't help. This is actually fairly common with some of their newer models.Hard to say how it happened. As technicians, we just find use the symptoms to repair the TV... no idea as to the "how" or "why" unfortunately.I know Amazon's pricing is competitive, but have you considered purchasing locally?Dan
Yes I have in the past but there are not many options other than best buy and I have never been to impressed with their customer service. Amazons prices were no cheaper than BB other than tax but they are on their 3 rd exchange, no questions asked which says something about their cust service.
I understand.Well, I'm sorry to make you go through the return process again, but if Panasonic is unwilling to send someone for warranty repair (not sure you'd want to do this, anyway) then returning it is the best option. You've done all the right troubleshooting... different cables, different devices, different ports, factory reset, firmware update, etc. There is nothing left, but to replace the TV's main board that controls HDMI signals.I wish I had better news for you, but I hope this helps. If you'd like clarification or have more questions for me, click "Reply to expert."
