I have a LG 42LB1DR tv and am having problems with the cable card set up. has anyone heard of un-marrying the old card, to accept the new one? an onsite verizon tech told me about the possible procedurethe tv did post that the cable card was accepted it just wont pair all the way for channels over 49 except their matching hd chanells.for instance.. channel 10 and 510 work[local] all others "no signal"had a verizon tech here and he thinks it is married [paired] to the original card's #'s[pod#,data#,etc.] and won't pair with new one's.This is despite the fact he had them match the #'s up at the office on site at my house.
Optional Information: Make: LG Model: 42LB1DR Already Tried: 2 yr. old cable card quit and verizon sent me a new one, and the set does'nt seem to accept it completely. only chanells 1-49 and their hd associated chanells are showing. had a verizon tech here and he thinks it is married to the original card and won't pair with new one?
hi my name is XXXXX XXX i would be happy to assist u the pair and unpair of a cable card to a tv is handled by you cable subscriber i do this everyday all that needs to happen is verizon needs to send a pair hit to the cable card to authorize the cable channels
already been through that with 3 diff. cable cards and the last time with a verizon tech on site.
[ cont. from above] they did their pairing from the office and with the tech on hand, he made sure all the data , pod , etc.was the same on both ends, he said at first it should take from 5 to 45 mins. and nothing happened. he suggested I go back to googleing my prob. to see if there was a way to get the tv to unmarry[forget about the first pairing] the first hookup. What you suggest should have worked but it did'nt [4X] thanks for the try jesse but been there done that at least 4 times and countless hours talking to idiots at verizon..
