I bought a Logitech Revue over a year ago to connect with a Sony KDF-42WE655 TV. The TV only has one HDMI port, so I use a HDMI switch to connect DirecTV STB. DVD and Revue. A few days ago, only the STB is displaying through port TV. I've changed cables, rebooted all equipment, plugged directly into HDMI plug and still no video for Revue and DVD! Could there be a problem with TV HDMI accepting signal from other devices?
Hello WelcomeThanks for the QuestionNo if the DirectTV is working it rules out the hdmi as being faulty, somehow the hdmi outputs have been damaged on the othersYou will need to prove conclusively by connecting the dvd and revue to another set however their cant be anything wrong with the HDMI if the directtv is OK, their can sometimes be "handshake"issues though so if you can try the revue and dvd on another setLet me know the result of that check and we will move on about what you can do about itAnthony
Hello, Anthony. I tried the Revue on another TV and it worked. I have not tried the DVD.
HiWow OK I will do some investigation into this and get back to you at this point it does look like a handshake issue has developedPlease just reply with OK and I will get back to you in about 20 mins or soAnthony
ok
HiSorry for delay I really cant see how this wont work for the other two their isnt anything else that can be done in the service menu for this set as it doesnt have a "full wipe" facility for the processors so if your sure those two products are working on another set you would have to change the P board which is the HDMI input board do you think you can do that? Please press the "continue conversation" or "reply to expert" button if you dont wish to rate me yet and require more infoPlease remember if you select "bad service smiley" or "poor service smiley"this will be a negative against my ratings and I wont receive a credit for helping you today instead of doing that please press the "continue conversation" or "reply to expert" and I will endeavour to help moreThe thread will still be open even if you do rate the answer nowMany ThanksAnthony
I'm not an expert, but if it requires going into the TV, I might have some problems. I have never done that procedure before.
HiIt does depend on what degree of practical ability you have I mean if you have never used a screwdriver well then it wont be any good you trying to do this, it takes a degree of initiative, where you can see the hdmi socket is where the P board is the hdmi is on that board it will need to be replaced obviously the back of the set (lower)will need to come off once your in there take out the plugs to the P board I will locate a P board for you though before doing this however it may be an idea to have a look yourself to see what your up againstIf you think you cant then a tech would charge about $300 for thisLet me know which way you want to go with thisAnthony
It doesn't sound too complex. I will take a look and see if I can do it. I replaced a CD burner with a dvd burner in my computer. Maybe that will qualify me to look and see. I will get back to you later, Thanks!
HiYes thats about the size of the job reallyHave a look and tell me what you thinkAnthony
I think I can do it if getting to board is relative simple. I have gotten the back off and wanted to know where the board is located. Do I have to remove a metal frame next to HDMI port? I see a couple of connectors, but I don't know what they are connected to. Do I have to remove frame that HDMI port is sitting? My biggest problem is to locate the p board.
HiThe HDMI socket may run off with a lead to the P board which is in this diagram Dont take it out just yet until I can see if I can get oneAnthony
Thanks for the diagram. I found the p board under the RF antenna switch. What is cost of p board? Thanks!
HiIt will be about $40 to $80Dont forget to rate me here we will move on with thisAnthony

Thanks, Anthony. I might call on you when I try to install it. Have a blessed day.
HiCome back here anytime if you need more help you wont be charged anymore Anthony
Hello, Anthony. I just wanted to thank you for assisting me in correcting my "p block" problem. It is installed and working for both Revue and DVD player. Even though I've done anything this complex, your expertise walked me through the process and gave me motivation to at least try to correct the problem. Again, thanks!
HiWell done it was a pleasure to helpMany ThanksAnthony
Hello, Anthony. I just wanted to write to let you know I have the "handshake" issue again. Maybe my Sony do not want to accept those HDMI signals. Unless you have another possible solution, I will have to do without those devices until I purchase a newer TV. Right now, that is not an option. If you know of anything, please let me know. Thank you for for assistance.
HiSomething is damaging the P It could be an erroneous voltage from the input that your having trouble with its difficult to say, for it to work then fail it has to be something like thatSorry for the hassle here it really doesnt make sense theirs something that the TV doesnt like about those inputsAnthony
Anthony, I don't know what's happening, but it's back on again. I unplugged the Revue from power source yesterday and did not touch it until after I talked to you. I decided to try DVD player and it worked. I plugged in the Revue and it's working right now. I had read that the sequence of turning on devices can solve some "handshaking" issues. I'll keep that in mind in case I have the continuing issue. Thanks!
