This is a problem with the DMD board. The DMD board is the circuit that drives the DLP chip, there are two driver circuits, one for each half of the picture, The repair consist of replacing the DMD board. It is not an easy DIY repair as in many cases it involves complicated alignments after part replacement. if you would like I can get you the price of the part but I will need the complete model and version number of the TV. Please reply with that information if you would like further assistance. The average cost of this type of repair is around 500.00 dollars.Steven41092.9934663194

It is possible if the DMD is locking up the system control the remote may not work as well as the buttons. It also could be a different problem too.
