my 42" plasma just got dim all of the sudden....you can still see the pic, but it is dark. Any ideas?

is it dark all over the whole screen? also if you bring up the menus for the tv... the tv`s menus. are they dark also?

the whole picture is dim...just found the contrast to be at 8.....raising that seemed to fix the pic....do you recommed the Ambilight to be on or does that burn out the pic?

no...i think the low contrast was the issue....
