Hi. I'm Steve. I'm sorry to hear about your TV. I will try my best to give you a precise and accurate answer.

Now, are you using a cable box? Satellite box maybe?

Is the Sanyo remote the one that is having the problem?

Let me know

Steve

Ok, let's see if the remote is faulty.

Do you have a digital camera or mobile phone camera? If so, grab it, turn it on, and then point the remote at the camera and press the on button on the remote.

If the remote is working, you should see blue flashing from the front of the remote in the viewfinder of the camera or on the phone.

Then try the Channel buttons and the numbers.

If it is not blinking, the remote is bad and will need to be replaced. Here is a replacement: http://www.newremotecontrol.com/sanyo/catalog_item.php?catnum=GXBC

Try that and let me know. I'll be here if you need more help.

Thanks.
