HiOK at the worst its going to be a bad seine mainboard however in many cases I come across this is bad firmware, now the beauty of toshibas of this era is that when the set is inoperable it will try and boot itself from the flash usb/sd card with the new firmware on, it will load the new firmware and then reboot itself and start up.You need to contact toshiba home entertainment to see if they will despatch to you the firmware upgrade you simply then insert this into the usb/sd port on the set and the firmware should loadLet me know if you dont understand anything hereToshiba have sent the firmware out before so hopefully they will obligeIf this doesnt work then a voltage check needs to be made before condemning the seine mainboard, I will try and locate a mainboard for youLet me know that you do understand thisAnthony
I understand and will try to get firmware from toshiba here in canada. Thank you
HiYes let me know if you can get thatAnthony
went to toshiba website and it said there is no firmware for my model. We have decided to get a new tv (not toshiba) but thank you for your help. You got the job done.
HiYes their is no firmware at the site however it doesnt mean they dont have it....they do,they will send it out to you by post on a flash drive you just need to speak with the right people at toshiba try and talk to someone technical there send an email explaining what I have said, to replace the board (new firmware will be preloaded onto new board)is expensive this will fix it but the firmware costs nothingPlease press the "continue conversation" or "reply to expert" button if you dont wish to rate me yet and require more infoPlease remember if you select "bad service smiley" or "poor service smiley"this will be a negative against my ratings and I wont receive a credit for helping you today instead of doing that please press the "continue conversation" or "reply to expert" and I will endeavour to help moreThe thread will still be open even if you do rate the answer nowMany ThanksAnthonyAnthony
