My daughter gave me her 10 year old Sony Trinitron without the manual. Somehow I have set a timer that delays the set actually turning on for sometimes 2 hours after I have pressed the switch. There are no buttons on the set or on the remote that say anything about a timer, but there is a little blinking red light near the on button on the set that says timer on it.How do I turn it off?
Optional Information: Make: Trinitron Already Tried: pushing every button on the remote and on the set.

HiThe problem you have is dry joints on the vertical output chip 4 blinks means the vertical output is stopping intermittently, so what that means is the chassis needs to come out and the vertical chip given a good soldering so an ability to use a soldering iron is required?let me know if you can do thatA tech would charge about $60-$80 for this fix could be less depends where you are and if you can get the set into a repair facilityLet me knowSorry it wasnt another easier issuePlease press the "continue conversation" or "reply to expert" button if you dont wish to rate me yet and require more infoPlease remember if you select "bad service smiley" or "poor service smiley"this will be a negative against my ratings and I wont receive a credit for helping you today instead of doing that please press the "continue conversation" or "reply to expert" and I will endeavour to help moreThe thread will still be open even if you do rate the answer nowMany ThanksAnthony
