How long have you had the set for and when did the problem occur?

Does the TV itself go on and off, or is it the picture that goes on and off?

Customer replied 311 days and 4 hours ago.

no picture. turn it on with remote, power lite comes on, no picture, stays on about 30 seconds, power lite goes off, then powers up again, over and over, approx 2 years.

Thank you for the reply.

Is there a clicking sound associated with the power light cycling?

Customer replied 311 days and 4 hours ago.

yes

Please disconnect the set from AC power, then press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote), for 10 seconds. After another minute, plug the set back in and press power once. Do you still have the same problem?

Customer replied 311 days and 4 hours ago.

same problem

This indicates a fault in the TV that cannot be corrected by using a reset. The clicking sound is the Power Supply "Turn-On" relay disengaging/engaging over and over again due to a short. The most common causes of this problem are a faulty Power Supply, Mainboard, or Inverter boards. To determine which board is causing the problem, voltages would need to be measured at the power supply under load, and no load conditions to see if the supply output is dropped, or the inverter or mainboard are shorted causing the set to not power up. Unfortunately, the average cost for this type of repair will be between $200-$400 parts and labor depending on which board has the failure. You can use the link below to locate a tech in your area:
