Customer Question

I have a Panasonic TC-P65VT30 plasma 3D tv. I am trying to watch/play 3D empowered video games on my Xbox 360 and I can't seem to get the systems to work togehther to achieve the 3d effect. I do not own a blu-ray player and this is my first attempt at displaying any kind of 3d content on the system. I successfully enabled 3d in the xbox 360 console setting and in each of the games I have attemptedto rendering 3d per those games manufacturers instructions. The type of 3d appears to be "side by side". However, when I select the same "side by side" setting on the Panasonic TV, I get a single, but blurry image, that does not render as 3d when I power on and it on the 3d glasses that came with the system. Based on the red color indicator, I am confident that the glasses are charged and working, however they do seem to turn off automatically (the red light stops blinking every 2 seconds) after a fairly short period of time, suggesting to me that they're not receiving some kind of activation/maintenance signal. Xbox 360 is connected to tv by HDMI. Please advise. Thanks.

Optional Information:
Make: Panasonic
Model: TC-P65VT30

Already Tried:
Everything I can think of. Other 3d setting in both Xbox 360 games and tv system (eg. Top to Bottom etc.). Recharging the glasses. Moving closer to or away from tv.

Hi and welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXX XXX will be assisting you today. I have several years of Professional Training and Hands On Experience under my belt and am dedicated to giving you the best Answer possible for your situation.

Here's how this works: We will go back and forth exchanging information about your problem until a proper diagnoses can be made. There is no extra charge for replying. In the rare case that your problem simply just can't be fixed, I will provide you with all of your options on how to move forward. Please remember that there isn't always a magic fix and that I am only compensated for my time helping you when you indicate that your satisfied with my efforts. Even after you've indicated that I've helped you, the question is never closed and I am available for follow up replies at anytime.

When you enable the 3D on the Xbox, while in the game, by going to Options>>Video>>Y Button two times to activate side by side>> On your TV by enabling the 3D Side by Side Mode>>Back out of the 3D Side by Side Menu on the Xbox, and turn on your Glasses. Everything should work as designed. The 2 second red blink on the Glasses indicate that it's connected and working properly.

While you were responding I figured out that my Kinect sensor was in the way of my TVs infrared emitter, so the glasses weren't turning on because they weren't receiving the IR signal and that's also why they were shutting off every 5 min. It's working now. I trust I won't be charged the fee for service, your help is greatly appreciated though.

I had no way of knowing that the Kinect was blocking the TV's IR Communication Port as it's usually never put in the way during installation. The fee is to help compensate us for our time in helping you and in this case it involved researching both unit's specs and manuals to provide a thorough Answer but it is of coarse up to you.

C'mon. I could, and did, the same basic research as you. There was nothing you did in those 5 min that I couldn't do and does not deserve $59. If you can't make it so I receive my money back, I'll take it up with the site.

My research was 25 minutes and I have already refunded you your deposit. Have a great day! :)
