Customer Question

I have a 42 inch LG plasma pg20 series 2008. It turns on but does not display 3 seperate hdmi devices. I have a constant no signal flashing on and off. when i go to input screen the hdmi input recognizes a connection but doesnt display anything after it says "connecting". I also tested the rca connection and it works fine.

Devices are Direct TV, PS3, Xbox. Everything worked fine until after a thunder storm last night.

Make: LG
Model: Plasma tv pg20 series

Already Tried:
I unplugged & plugged the hdmi connections & I switched out an hdmi wire.

This is pretty common after a storm for some reason, its seems we see a lot of surges come through cable/satellite boxes and destroy the HDMI processing in the tv. You are going to need a new main board in the tv to fix this problem. IF you have the full model number, I can get you the part number you need if you want to replace it yourself. IF you do not want to and you have it repaired professionally, then you are generally looking at $300-400 for the repair.

Yes, replaceing it is simple...just a few screws and a couple wires.
