We have a Maxent MX-58HPT51 58" Plasma TV. It has worked fine until right now. We turn on the TV and the green light goes on, but we get nothing on the screen. We tried unplugging it and replugging it in, but that did not help. We hae Fios service, but the box for that seems to be working fine. What should we do?
Optional Information: Make: Maxent Model: MS-58HPT51 Already Tried: Please see note I typed.
If you cannot even see the Tv menus and you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, there is nothing more you can do without opening up the Tv and replacing parts inside. Figuring out which part is defective will take some complicated diagnosis. A repair shop will charge about $400-$600 to fix your Tv. If you are handy with things like meters, soldering, hand tools, then you can try fixing it yourself but Plasma Tv is very difficult and dangerous to work on. And this particular model will be difficult for you to find parts for without lots of research. Here is the only parts I could find:

I am not satisfied with this "just answer" service. I had assumed that you would provide some idea of other things we could try to solve our problem, rather than suggesting that we have an expensive repair done without further diagnosis. I certainly could have called a repair service myself, since I have no additional information from this contact.
Repairing modern Tv's is not like the old days of visually identifying a "bad tube", running down to the store and getting a generic part, and your done in 10 minutes. It takes diagnosis with a meter on live high voltage circuits. I can guide you every step of the way if you are willing and able. Get a meter and take the back off the Tv, we can start immediately.
I expected some guidance on other things we could do to assess this problem. Your answer was that I should call a repair shop. I obviously could have determined this on my own. I don't see the value in this service.
No, my answer is that I can give you all the guidance you can handle. Your Tv cannot be fixed by pushing buttons or unplugging things.
