Optional Information: Make: panasonic Model: J8AA1165 Already Tried: Turning it on.
How long have you had the set for and when did the problem occur?
Waqs it after a storm or power outage?
Does the Timer Light blink continuously, or in a pattern (such as 4 blinks, pause, 4 blinks, pause, etc.)?
I have had the tv for several years. problem happened after my move..
The light blinks continuoisly.
Please disconnect the set from AC power, then press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote), for 10 seconds. After another minute, plug the set back in and press power once. Do you still have the same problem?
ok
yes
Can you please doublecheck the model number off the back of the TV?

All you can attempt on this model, is to try leaving the unit unplugged for several hours, and then plug back in. This will drain the residual current from the power supply, and can act as an effective reset. If this does not work, there are several problems in your set that could cause this. It could be a faulty CRT , which would cost you more than a new TV to replace. other common issues are cold/failed solder joints and failing IC regulators, or capacitors. All of these problems are common with your set, and would require circuit testing and replacement in order for the TV to function normally again. Average cost for this type of repair will between $150-$250 depending on which circuit has the failure on the set. Given that a new LCD TV would cost you only around $250 for the same sized screen, it is not cost effective to repair this set. Unfortunately, there are no resets or series of buttons you can press that will solve this problem and the set will require component replacement to operate normally again.
